Madhuri Dixit Recalls Her Struggling Days, Reveals She Was Called 'Too Skinny' Before Tezaab
Actress Madhuri Dixit has been winning hearts over the years with her stellar performances and went on to rule Bollywood in the 90s as one of the female superstars. The actress marked her Bollywood debut with the 1984 film Abodh and started off by doing some supporting roles in 2-3 films. As Madhuri Dixit recently released her first single titled Candle, talking about her experiences from over the years, the actress recalls the time when she was called too skinny before film Tezaab happened.

Speaking with Pinkvilla.com, Madhuri Dixit opened up about her days when she just started her acting career and struggles she faced. As the Dhak Dhak girl recently released her single Candle which talks about finding the burning spirit within yourself when your low, the actress spoke about the tough times she faced and how she overcame it. Talking about her journey so far, Madhuri Dixit shared that she was in college when she marked her debut and returned to college after that. She then revealed that she did small roles in 2-3 movies like Awara Baap, Swati as supporting roles.

Madhuri Dixit then continued to share how she finally decided what she wanted from her acting career. The actress revealed that she decided to stop juggling between everything and devote her time when filmmaker Subhash Ghai advised her to stop doing small roles as he wanted to cast her in his film Ram Lakhan. Later, talking about how people said a lot of things when she did not have hit films, Madhuri Dixit shared that people called her too skinny.  She said, "Never on my face. At the most, they would say bahot dubli hai, she is very skinny but I overcame that and then Tezaab happened and then it didn't matter if I was skinny to them, everyone was fine then."
